Dr. Marcy's Story

Acupuncture by Dr. Marcy creates a sanctuary of tranquility offering a blend of traditional acupuncture techniques and modern relaxation therapies. She possesses more than 20 years of experience, is dedicated to promoting holistic well-being aimed at restoring balance and vitality. Dr. Marcy B. Newman has been a registered nurse, Caritas Coach (Watson Caring Science), iRest Yoga Nidra Certified teacher and sound healer. She most recently worked in employee well-being for 4.5 years with the Veterans Health Administration.

Dr. Marcy has 3 Masters degrees (Public Health, Nursing, and Acupuncture) and a Doctorate (in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture). She offers acupuncture expertise with a nursing mindset (safety, infection control, etc.) and Caring Science spirit (filled with compassion and lovingkindness)

Part of Dr. Marcy's background: assisting plastic surgery and dental patients with post-op healing. Dr. Marcy performs acupuncture with a Japanese, gentle style and includes lifestyle and 5 Element nutritional coaching. Dr. Marcy is an NCCAOM diplomat in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine since 2005 and has been in patient care since 1985. Additionally, she assisted patients with pre-procedure anxiety.

Sound Healing
Sound Healing

Dr. Marcy has been trained in and has performed sound healing with both employees and Veterans at a VA Medical Center. She offered one of the featured experiential workshops at the Caritas Community Conference in 2024 (Watson Caring Science).


Sound healing is an ancient healing modality that provides a soothing and relaxing effect on the Chakras, nervous system, and brain waves. Using vibrational frequencies from instruments such as crystal singing bowls, tuning forks, and gongs, sound therapy helps to reduce stress, balance energy, and support emotional healing.
